The only thing tomás enjoyed about his internship at an agency was visiting the TV commercial shoots, so he abandoned his advertising studies and enrolled in film school.

 

He directed tv commercials in several countries and taught filmmaking at various universities and schools in colombia until 2020, when he embarked on his filmmaking journey with the release of his short film "graceland". he also completed the " lo-fi diary project, a video diary comprising 366 micro-length films shot between january and december of that year.

He currently resides in Lund, Sweden, after having lived in Bogotá, New York, Beirut, and Nairobi. He completed his first feature film, "November" (which premiered at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival), while earning his master's degree in screenwriting.

Tomás is currently part of the development team for two series projects and a new feature film, and he provides screenwriting consulting.
